It seems quite strange to choose English as your language of choice, when making your authorial debut after having graduated from Forfatterskolen in 2022. Perhaps this is because Ulrikke Bak wants to reach a potential larger audience with her short novel Love Looks Bleak or perchance it is due to the fact that English may seem as a much cooler language than Danish.
